Gloves with integrated piezoelectric sensor, to capture sound textures from the surrounding environment.
We cannot separate from the sounds of the specific environment we live in but we can choose what kind of soundscape we collectively want to create. Through an interactive experience I would like to expand participant’s curiosity for sound and together create a performative composition open to be participated and manipulated.
Through movement I am creating a composition with the environment, a moment of embodiment. Manipulating the composition with my body movement and controlling it with a distance sensor, metaphorically questioning my distance from nature, my relationship to the earth.
